Let's see...I last posted of a ride in September. October and November were really quiet around our house. We took a few rides near our home but other than that and celebrating Thanksgiving with our family, it was work and home. I did make chicken with dressing for Thanksgiving and it was really good. I cut the devilled eggs the wrong way (I know, who knew?) and Brandon got a real big kick out of telling everyone who would listen. So when December rolled around we were definitely ready to get away. But first, here is our tree. This was the first year that we all lived in the same house and shared Christmas so this tree is a bit special. Not to mention, I had always had the cheapest tree that was barely 6' tall! This new tree was so pretty to me. I kept telling Brandon that I really liked our grown up Christmas tree.

The picture below is from our December trip. Burgess Falls State Park, Burgess Falls

As you see, we got 6 to 8 inches of snow while we were in Cookeville. It was the first real snow we had seen. We happen to be alot fonder of hiking in snow than summer weather.

This is at Fall Creek Falls State Park. We hiked to the bottom of the fall and as you can see, Brandon climbed slick rocks so that he could sit right in front of the waterfall and the spray from the fall. Can you see him?

Maybe this picture will help.

The first time we went to Fall Creek Falls, I had a much simpler camera and in order to get a continuous like picture, I had to shot the fall in three pictures. With this newer camera, I could capture the whole fall with one shot. But I like the first pictures better. We still have them hanging in our house. It is actually one of my favorites.
Gatlinburg trip in January 2011. Annual Christmas present to each other. Always so much better than any present could be!
